West Bengal Panchayat Elections Results 2023: The West Bengal State Election Commission has announced re-polling at 20 booths for the Panchayat elections on Friday (July 14). Earlier on July 10, on the orders of the State Election Commission, re-polling was conducted at 696 booths in 19 districts. 

Voting for the three-tier panchayat elections in West Bengal was held on July 8, in which around 20 people became victims of election violence. After this, during the re-polling in some seats, again there was violence in many places. The State Election Commission (SEC) on Thursday (July 13) canceled the panchayat elections at 20 booths in three districts due to booth capturing. 

Now polling will be held at the booths of these districts
According to the State Election Commission, counting was disrupted after ballot papers were looted on the day of counting at 20 booths in Hooghly, Howrah and North Parganas districts. It has been decided to conduct fresh polling at these booths on a later date. According to the notification issued by the SEC, 15 booths in Sankrail in Howrah, one in Singur in Hooghly and four booths in Habra area of ​​North 24 Parganas district are to be repolled in the second round.

Polling again in Hooghly will be held at Netaji Jayanti Pathagaar. While issuing the notice, the SEC said that polling will be held once again at these booths as there was an incident of tampering of ballot papers during the counting of votes after re-polling. Due to which the result of counting at that place could not be ascertained. 

Election will be held at the booths of Howrah district
The State Election Commission has once again said that during the counting of votes in the state, there will be no forceful snatching or forcible possession of ballot papers at these booths. The phenomenon of taking was observed. Due to this, there was a disturbance in the process of counting of votes due to which the result could not be known.
