Agartala, Jun 18: Abhishek Saha of Agartala has become the state topper in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced-2023 exams, the results of which were declared on Sunday.
The aspirant said, he secured 179 out of 360 marks with an All India Rank 2680.
While students across the country prepare for the exams with coaching from leading institutes like Kota, Abhishek stood different with a focus on self-study, online platforms and guidance from three tutors.
“I started my preparation for the examination when I was studying in Class-XI in Hindi Higher Secondary School here. I kept focusing on self-study, online platforms and the guidance of three local teachers. Finally, the efforts brought me desired results,” he said.
Being strong in Physics, he emphasized on this paper and simultaneously studied other subjects which helped him score the desired marks in the exam. Now, he wants to pursue Mechanical Engineering from IIT-Madras, which ranked 1st in NIRF-2023 rankings.
“My goal is to study Mechanical Engineering from IIT-Madras or IIT-Kharagpur, IIT Bombay and IIT-Delhi. I will study hard to get my Degree in whichever institute I get opportunity after the counselling that is scheduled to begin from Monday,” the state topper said in a telephonic conversation.
Born to Tapan Saha, a businessman, and Aparna Saha, a homemaker, the aspirant passed 10th from Holy Cross School, Agartala and then XII from Hindi Higher Secondary School. He is clear about his goals and wants to become an entrepreneur after completing his studies from top IITs.
He said, the result of JEE Advanced-2023 and his ranking is the best gift for his father as Father’s Day was celebrated on Sunday. Earlier, the aspirant had secured rank 131 in WBJEE.
