Agartala Jun 23: In two subsequent raids, police of East Agartala Police Station detained a total of three persons along with narcotic brown sugar.
Detailing the raids, police official said, “A drug peddler namely Sunil Debbarma was arrested from Dhaleshwar area after receiving specific information from secret sources. Near about 60 vials of narcotic brown sugar was seized from his possession”.
“Interrogating the detained drug peddler, police team led the second raid in Chandrapur Motor Stand area and nabbed two more drug peddlers with two cases of Brown Sugar. The detained have been identified as Suman Miya and Ibrahim Miya”, he said.
Police officials further said that the recovered brown sugar of about 40 grams has a market value of lakhs of rupees.
The apprehended persons will be produced before the court seeking police remand for further interrogation, said Police.
