Rains Update In India: From the plains to the hilly areas, the period of heavy rains continues. In many parts of Himachal and Uttarakhand, along with landslides, incidents of cloudburst have come to the fore. In such a situation, along with the local people, the passengers are also facing problems. 

Now in the midst of all this, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has released a new update regarding rain on Monday (June 26). According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at some places. Rain is forecast for Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Kerala and Mahe, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on June 27. 

Rains in these states from June 27 to 30 

On June 28, heavy to very heavy rain is expected in East Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Konkan and Goa. During June 26 to 28, it may rain in Central Maharashtra, West Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam on June 29, Meghalaya on June 29 and 30. Rain is forecast over Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand on June 27, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from June 26 to 28, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh and Kutch on June 27. 

Update due to rain 

The Meteorological Department said that due to rain, the condition of road flooding, water logging in low-lying areas and closure of underpasses mainly in the urban areas of the above region may increase. Travel time has increased due to water-logging on the roads leading to traffic snarls in major cities. Apart from this, horticulture and standing crops have been damaged in some areas due to floods. 

Meteorological Department appeals to the people 

The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to leave after seeing the traffic situation on their route before leaving for somewhere. Follow any traffic advisories issued. Avoid going to those areas where there is often a problem of waterlogging. Also avoid staying in unsafe places.
