The hanging of the man who killed his wife and minor children was upheld, the High Court said – conscience shaken -aabtak24

Karnataka High Court:  Many such cases of brutality came to the fore in the past, which shook the whole country. In one such case, the Karnataka High Court upheld the death sentence awarded to a man who hacked his wife, sister-in-law and three children to death with a machete. During this, the High Court made a strong comment and said that this matter has shaken our conscience. Earlier, the man was sentenced to death by the trial court. 

Seeing the brutality with which the person had executed this massacre, the High Court termed it as rare of the rarest case. Due to which he was sentenced to death. During this, the High Court said that despite hearing many cases of murder, this case shook our conscience. 

Killings due to suspicion
Actually this incident is from Bellary district of Karnataka, where a man named Byluru Thippaiah had doubts about his wife’s character. He also doubted whether the daughters were his or not. After which, on 25 February 2017, he brutally murdered his wife, his sister-in-law and his three daughters below the age of 10 years from Gandase. During this he left a child, because he was sure that it was his. The court also directed to make arrangements for compensation for the surviving girl child. 

Court sentenced to death
After this massacre, the accused came out of his house shouting and celebrated. All the neighbors saw him with Gandasa in his hand, after whose complaint he was arrested. After examining all the evidence, the trial court sentenced the accused to death. After this, an appeal was made in the High Court on behalf of the accused. However, the death sentence was upheld by the High Court as well.
