Sharad Pawar On New Parliament: NCP chief Sharad Pawar has once again targeted the Modi government at the BJP-led Center regarding the new Parliament building. He also took a jibe at a photograph of the first session of the new Parliament. Pawar took center stage at a program called ‘Sauhard Baithak’ organized at the Mahatma Gandhi Mission University in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad on Tuesday (June 6).
During his speech, he emphasized the importance of dialogue regarding the activities related to the Parliament. He said that the decision on the new Parliament House could have been taken through talks with the political parties.

According to the news agency PTI, the NCP chief said that there has been a general decline in the matter of engaging in dialogue for parliamentary activities. Earlier too there were differences between political parties but he tried to resolve them through dialogue.

Significantly, the new Parliament House was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 28 May. More than 20 opposition parties had boycotted the programme. Many opposition parties had kept themselves away from the program, accusing the BJP-led central government of ignoring President Draupadi Murmu. Those parties said that the inauguration of the new parliament should be done by the President Draupadi Murmu as he is the constitutional head.

Was the event only for a limited number of people?
