Maharashtra Politics:: The rhetoric has intensified since the rebellion in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) under the leadership of Ajit Pawar. It is believed that the leaders of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde faction are angry with the arrival of Ajit Pawar. 

What did Sanjay Raut claim? 
Raut said that Ajit Pawar and eight other NCP MLAs took oath as ministers while none of the Shinde group MLAs took oath. He claimed that Maharashtra would soon get a new chief minister. 

Shinde faction leader and Industries Minister Uday Samant dismissed the speculations about Chief Minister Shinde stepping down. He said that whatever has happened (for that) the initiative was taken by Chief Minister Shinde. Samant said that the situation has changed now. Some legislators of the Shinde faction said that the chief minister was trying to address their concerns. So there is no need to panic. 

What did the Uddhav Thackeray faction say?
Uddhav faction leader and MP Vinayak Raut said that after NCP leader Ajit Pawar joined the Maharashtra government, the MLAs of the Shinde  faction has started a rebellion. He said that some MLAs of Shinde’s Shiv Sena are sending messages that they want to apologize to ‘Matoshree’.

Matoshree located in Mumbai’s Bandra area is the residence of Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray. Vinayak Raut said that several MLAs of Shinde have said that they will respond positively if ‘Matoshree’ approaches them.

He without naming anyone claimed that those who wanted to become ministers but could not become. Those who are in danger of losing their seats in the next cabinet expansion are in touch with us. 

Eknath Shinde What did the faction say?
Retorting on this, Uday Samant said that actually six out of 13 MLAs of Uddhav Thackeray faction are in contact with him. Three-four MLAs spoke to me only yesterday i.e. on Wednesday (July 5).
