Maharashtra NCP Crisis: Now the statement of NCP Chief Sharad Pawar has come to the fore on the political upheaval in the politics of Maharashtra. On the rebellion of nephew Ajit Pawar, Sharad Pawar said on Sunday (July 2) that two days ago Prime Minister Modi (PM Modi) had said about NCP that NCP is a finished party. He mentioned the allegations of corruption. I am happy that some of my colleagues have taken oath today. It is clear from his joining the government (Maharashtra) that he has been cleared of all charges.
Sharad Pawar said that PM Modi has called NCP a corrupt party. Today the MLAs of the same NCP party have taken oath in the BJP government. Ajit Pawar has rebelled. He didn’t talk to me. I haven’t bowled any googly this time. He said that before coming here for the press conference, calls were received from every corner of the country and messages of solidarity were received.
What did Sharad Pawar say?
He said that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and others have called me. I am not worried about whatever happened today. Will contest the 2024 elections together and win. Tomorrow I go to Y.B. Will take blessings of Chavan (former chief minister of Maharashtra) and hold a public meeting. Will go to attend a function of a Dalit society. This is my program for tomorrow.
Meeting of all leaders called on July 6
Sharad Pawar said that I had called a meeting of all the leaders on July 6 where some important issues were to be discussed and some changes were to be made within the party, but before that some leaders have taken a different stand. He said that this is not a new thing. The party I was leading in 1980 had 58 MLAs, later all left and only 6 MLAs left, but I strengthened the numbers and those who left me lost in their constituencies.
