Parliament Monsoon Session 2023: Monday (July 24) is the third day of the monsoon session of Parliament. The proceedings of the House will start at 11 am. The uproar over Manipur is likely to continue in both the Houses as the opposition parties have chalked out a strategy to corner the BJP on this issue. The BJP has also drawn up a plan to counter the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance on atrocities against women in other states, including Rajasthan and West Bengal.
Recently, the video of two women of Manipur being paraded without clothes and being subjected to sexual violence came to the fore, which has created outrage in everyone’s heart. The alliance of opposition parties is fiercely surrounding the BJP on the matter. The opposition is constantly saying that no further work should be done in the House until the issue is discussed and the Prime Minister comes and answers in the House.
What is the issue of BJP?
According to the information, BJP will protest in front of the Gandhi statue of Parliament House today. All MPs have been directed to protest in front of the Gandhi statue regarding violence against women in Rajasthan, Bengal and Chhattisgarh. The performance will start at 9.30 am. Earlier on July 20, Bengal BJP MPs staged a sit-in protest against atrocities on women in Bengal.
War and counter-attack between the opposition
The BJP on Friday (July 21) attacked the Trinamool Congress and the Congress-ruled West Bengal and Rajasthan governments over the record of crimes against women. At the same time, the opposition has been registering protests on the Manipur issue ever since the monsoon session began on Thursday (July 20).
