Wrestlers Protest Update: Wrestlers protesting against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh are getting the support of many people. An all-caste panchayat was held in Mundlana village of Gohana tehsil of Sonipat, Haryana on Sunday (June 4) in support of the wrestlers. It was attended by former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik, President of Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Jayant Chaudhary, Olympic medalist wrestler Bajrang Punia, farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chadhuni and many others.
During the Panchayat many issues related to the performance of the wrestlers were discussed. During this Poonia said, "We will get victory in this movement by fighting together. We don’t want panchayats to be conducted everyday because by holding separate panchayats, our unity is not visible and the government is taking direct advantage of it."
‘Will hold a mahapanchayat and take a big decision in it’
He said, "You tried to come on 28 May but you could not come and the police stopped you. We will not be able to win by being different. All organizations unite. We will hold a mahapanchayat. Will take a big decision in that. You will be told the place and time of the panchayat of wrestlers in three-four days." He has appealed to more and more people to join this mahapanchayat.
