NIA files charge sheet against 3 pro-Khalistan terrorists, many revelations made -aabtak24

NIA Chargesheet Terrorist: The NIA on Sunday (July 23) filed a charge sheet against three terrorists belonging to banned pro-Khalistan organizations Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) and six others. The agency has disclosed in the charge sheet the international links of the three terrorists involved in recruitment and operations for terrorist activities in India. 

Officials told that terrorists Harvinder Singh Sandhu and Lakhbir Singh Sandhu are associated with BKI, while Arshdeep Singh is associated with KTF. According to the NIA, all three persons are based abroad and have established their own network of operatives to carry out terrorist activities in India. He has links with drug smugglers and pro-Khalistan operatives in Pakistan and other countries. 

NIA also named six other accomplices

The charge sheet filed before a special court in Delhi has also named six other associates working for BKI and KTF. In which a complex system of raising funds for both the organizations has also been outlined. NIA is also probing the links of 16 other absconding and arrested accused linked to BKI and KTF. 

Harvinder Singh Sandhu had fled to Pakistan

One of the main accused, Harvinder Singh Sandhu alias Rinda is a former gangster who is now a prominent BKI member. He fled to Pakistan illegally in 2018-19 and is currently living there under the protection of Pakistan’s spy agency ISI. Rinda is a very important member of BKI and is involved in carrying out terrorist activities against India. 

Rinda was declared a ‘personal terrorist’ by the Government of India in 2023. While Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa was initially involved in criminal and gangster activities, later moved to Canada and continued his activities from there. He joined with BKI terrorist Harvinder Singh Sandhu and became a member of BKI. 

India’s infamous gangster Arshdeep Singh

Another accused Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala was a notorious gangster of India. He had gone to Canada where he came in contact with KTF chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar. According to the NIA, he recruited youths and formed terrorist gangs to carry out extortion and targeted killings. Arsh Dala was also declared an individual terrorist by the Government of India in the same year.
