Opposition Meeting: The opposition is now uniting against the Modi government, after the first meeting held on 23rd June, now the second and bigger meeting of the opposition parties is being held in Bengaluru. In which about 26 opposition parties are involved. At the same time, the BJP-led NDA has also started preparations for the 2024 elections. An NDA meeting has been called in Delhi on July 18, in which invitations have been sent to all the allies. Now the question is that what has changed after the initiative of opposition unity and who is looking stronger in the NDA-Grand Alliance. Let’s understand whose strength has increased in the last few days and who has suffered losses.

Opposition strength increased
First of all, let’s talk about opposition unity i.e. grand alliance. The first meeting of opposition unity was called on 23 June. In which some parties were hesitating to come together. Now an increase in the strength of the opposition can be seen in the second meeting. 10 new parties were invited for this meeting, after which 10 new parties joined the opposition. The Aam Aadmi Party has attended the Bengaluru meeting, while RLD’s Jayant Chowdhary is also a part of the opposition meeting.

What is the loss to the opposition?
Now if we talk about the loss to the opposition, then Sharad Pawar’s NCP suffered the biggest loss. In Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar broke away from the NCP and joined the NDA. This was considered a severe blow to the opposition unity. At the same time, JDS, the regional party of Karnataka, has also expressed displeasure and said that the opposition never accepted them as their own. On the other hand, Samajwadi Party leader Dara Singh Chauhan also announced to leave the party.

How much strength of NDA has increased?
Now let’s talk about BJP led NDA. Which is in power at the center. Like the opposition parties, the NDA has also started preparations and a meeting has been called. Talking about strength, Chirag Paswan has come to the NDA, although there is no talk about seat sharing yet. Whereas SBSP has become a part of NDA. SP’s Dara Singh Chauhan has joined BJP. Apart from this, Jitan Ram Manjhi has been invited to the NDA meeting. On the other side in Maharashtra Eknath Shinde Ajit Pawar has split the second strongest party into two and is standing by the hand of BJP. Former Union minister Nagmani has also joined the NDA.

These parties distanced themselves from NDA
Now talking about the loss to NDA, the ally AIADMK has opposed the Uniform Civil Code. On the other hand Mukesh Sahni of VIP does not want to go with BJP, Akali Dal has also said that he will not attend the meeting of NDA. Meanwhile, Upendra Kushwaha is also not coming to the NDA meeting.
