He has said that the Muslims present in India are not descendants of Aurangzeb, Aurangzeb and his descendants came from outside. Fadnavis said that the Muslims of this country never accepted Aurangzeb.

Muslims did not accept Aurangzeb – Fadnavis
Devendra Fadnavis said on the controversy that started over Aurangzeb. "Our king is only Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. We cannot have another king. The Muslim of this country who has national thoughts never accepted Aurangzeb. They only respect Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj."

Question to Uddhav Thackeray
During this, Devendra Fadnavis also targeted Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar and Shiv Sena (UBT) for visiting Aurangzeb’s tomb in Aurangabad district. Asked President Uddhav Thackeray whether he approved his move. Earlier this year, the parties of Thackeray and Ambedkar forged an alliance.

Addressing a public meeting in Akola on the completion of nine years of the Modi government, Fadnavis said, ‘‘What happened in Akola, Sambhajinagar and Kolhapur was not a coincidence, but an experiment. How did Aurangzeb’s sympathizers come to the state? How can Aurangzeb be our leader?" Hitting out at Prakash Ambedkar for visiting Aurangzeb’s tomb, Fadnavis asked him what was the need to do so.

The dispute regarding Aurangzeb and Tipu Sultan is going on in Maharashtra for the last several days. Some youths had put Aurangzeb’s picture on social media, after which the ruckus started. After this incident there was violence in Kolhapur. The opposition is alleging that the BJP is deliberately raising the issue of Aurangzeb before the elections. The Shinde faction and the BJP are blaming the opposition for this.
