Kumarghat Rath tragedy: Death toll rises to 8 – aabtak24

Agartala, July 04: The death toll in Kumarghat Ulta Rath tragedy has increased to 8 with another person succumbing to injuries on Tuesday.

Ratna Rani Dhar (49) of Puratan Sibtali area in Kumarghat breathed her last during treatment in the GBP hospital.

She along with some other persons, who were severely injured due to electrocution while pulling the chariot of Lord Jagannath on June 28 last, were referred to GBP hospital for better treatment. Earlier seven deaths were reported in the same incident.
