Kriti submits nomination papers amidst fervent support from party leaders and workers – aabtak24

Agartala March 28: The atmosphere across Tripura was electric, with a sea of party workers chanting slogans and dancing to the beats of traditional instruments as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma filed her nomination for the East Parliamentary seat on Thursday.

Ahead of formalizing her candidacy, to the Returning Officer, Saju Vaheed A, Kriti Singh Debbarma was greeted by a jubilant crowd; supporters of both BJP as well as TIPRA Motha.

Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha, State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee, TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Deb Barma, Cabinet Ministers Ratan Lal Nath, Tinku Roy, Bikash Debbarma, Maharani Pragya Debbarma among others convened amidst the fervor of the occasion.

The presence of the senior leadership highlighted the significance of the Lok Sabha elections in Tripura’s political landscape and the ruling party’s commitment to securing victory in the East Parliamentary seat.

Addressing the mammoth gathering, Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha said, “The nomination filing ceremony not only showcases the enthusiasm and unwavering support of the common people for the nominated candidates but also signals ‘Unity in Diversity’. The brotherhood and unity among the tribals and non-tribals will help achieve the goal of Ek Tripura Srestha Tripura”.

“The results are already clear. With overwhelming support from the voters already a strong statement has been registered, reaffirming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s victory”, he said.

Dr Saha further added, “Seeing the unity of three parties, BJP, Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) and TIPRA Motha, the opposition is already trembling and might need treatment to come out of the shock. Many people are scared after witnessing the massive response from the common people and this is the real Thansa”.

The chief minister also stressed on the necessity of development of people belonging to indigenous sections and highlighted the developmental works done in the state in recent years under the BJP regime.

Pradyot Kishore Deb Barma, the founder of TIPRA Motha and brother to BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma asserted that Narendra Modi’s victory is ‘inevitable’.

He urged the people to take the right path for the development of the state.
