Agartala June 06: Illegal infiltration of mostly Bangladesh citizens seems to have risen to a great extent in the state.
Alert on controlling such activities, in yet another successful drive police of Airport Police Station detained two illegal Bangladeshi entrants here on Tuesday.
According to reports, two Bangladeshi women were roaming near the Airport area when based on suspicion police detained them.
Interrogation revealed that both the ladies, Ashma Sheikh and Swapna Sarkar crossed the international borders with the help of a local person.
Taking up a case in this regard, police also seized an auto used for the transportation of the Bangladeshi citizens.
OC Suman Singh Airport PS said that police is investigating the case to find out if locals are associated with such illegal infiltration.
