Lashkar-e-Taiba Terrorists: Four terrorists killed by Indian security forces on Tuesday (July 18) morning in Sindhra village of Rajouri-Poonch sector near the Line of Control with Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir. The identity of the terrorists has come to the fore. Earlier, between July 16 and 17, there was a fierce encounter between security forces with these terrorists.
According to HT report, the identity cards recovered from the four terrorists killed by the Special Operation Group of the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Surankote tehsil of Poonch district revealed that they belonged to the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Islamic. Taiba was a jihadist and a Pakistani citizen.
Identities of the slain terrorists
These slain jihadis were heavily armed, according to documents recovered from them, three of the four have been identified as Mehmood Ahmed, Abdul Hameed, Mohd Sharif while the name of the fourth is unknown and he is a resident of Khurshidabad in PoK Was gonna
According to the report, the four belonged to a group of 12 Lashkar terrorists led by Sajid Jatt that runs between Kotli in PoK and Orpet across the international border at Sialkot. The age of all four was between 23 and 25 years. They were hardcore jihadists and operated across the Durand Line in Afghanistan as part of the Lashkar on Pakistan’s western front.
Safe cover used to infiltrate terrorists
According to intelligence inputs, a 12-member group of terrorists was operating in Rajouri-Poonch sector for the last 18 months and was providing safe cover to the infiltrating Jihadis from South Kashmir areas as well as the southern areas of Pir Panjal.  ;
