Oommen Chandy Death: Veteran Congress leader and former Kerala CM Oommen Chandy passed away this morning (July 18). After his death, Kerala Congress state president K Sudhakaran expressed grief.
He wrote by tweeting that today was the sad end of the story of that king who conquered the world with his love. He further wrote that today I want to inform with great sadness that one of the great personalities of our times, Oommen Chandy passed away. He impacted the lives of countless individuals and his legacy will forever resonate in our souls.
Shashi Tharoor expressed grief
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has posted a picture on Twitter after his death, in which he has said that I met him last year on his birthday, I am sorry. That now I will not be able to wish him this year. Apart from Shashi Tharoor, the Indian Youth Congress tweeted that we condole the demise of former Kerala Chief Minister and veteran Congress leader Mr. Oommen Chandy.
He was a supporter of development, democracy and secularism. He inspired generations of young leaders with his dedication and charisma. We pray for his soul and his bereaved family.
