News Anchor Gitanjali Aiyar Death: Famous news anchor Gitanjali Iyer passed away on Wednesday (June 7). He worked in Doordarshan for more than 30 years. Iyer’s death has sent a wave of grief among the fans.
Geetanjali Iyer was one of the country’s first English news anchors. She joined Doordarshan in 1971 and won the Best Anchor Award four times during her career with the channel.
