Weather Update Today: The havoc of rain is being seen in different states. From the mountains to the plains, disaster is visible. According to the Meteorological Department, a low-pressure area has formed over North Odisha and adjoining West Bengal and Jharkhand, causing heavy rains over central and adjoining East India over the next five days.
There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in the coming two days in some parts of North West including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand. Apart from this, heavy rains are expected in the western states from July 17.
Heavy rains will occur in these states for the next four days
According to IMD, there is an alert for heavy rains in Haryana-Chandigarh for two days, while in many areas of West UP and East Rajasthan Heavy rain is going to continue for the next four days. The situation has become uncontrollable after heavy rains in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. In Malari, the river is flowing in spate, due to which the bridge built on it has also become a threat due to the monstrous form of the river. Ganga has also come to the warning level due to heavy rains on the mountains. The surge in Ganga is such that gate number 10 of Haridwar’s Bhimgoda barrage could not bear its velocity and broke, after which there was a stir.
