Dharmanagar June 13: PM-SHRI schools to be developed as green schools will deliver high quality education said, Tripura Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswabandhu Sen as he inaugurated PM-SHRI on Tuesday at Dharmanagar Governmnet Girls’ HS School.
In the year 2022, Tripura government announced that 156 schools of the state would be brought under Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM-SHRI) Yojana. This would provide improved infrastructure, innovative pedagogy and technology in the selected schools.
The schools will showcase the implementation of National Education Policy-2020 and emerge as exemplar schools over a period of time, said Biswabandhu Sen.
A total of six schools in North Tripura district are included in Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM-SHRI) Yojana.
This includes, Dharmanagar Higher Secondary School, Kalachara Higher Secondary School, Churaibari Higher Secondary School, Ganganagar Higher Secondary School, Bilthai Higher Secondary School, and Dasda High school.
Sen further said, “Under PM-SHRI Yojana a constant evaluation of the learning process will be done that would enable them to excel in academics as well as co-curricular activities”.
From now on, studies in Dharmanagr Government Girls’ HS School will continue under the supervision of central government and the students and their parents’ expressed gratitude towards the government for inclusion of the school under PM-SHRI Yojana.
Pradyut Dey Sarkar, Chairperson of Dharmanagar Municipal Council, Shyamal Nath, Principal of Dharmanagar Govt. Girls’ HS Schoolamong others remained present at the program.
