Delhi Government Dengue Alert: Due to floods and rains in Delhi, the risk of diseases like dengue, chikungunya and malaria has increased. To deal with them, the Delhi government has now come on alert mode. On Tuesday (July 18), Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj held a review meeting with officials of various departments.
In the meeting, Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj directed to take strict steps regarding the prevention of diseases caused by rain. Also asked to strictly implement anti-mosquito measures in schools and take help of school children for prevention of dengue.
Who attended the meeting
Officials of Health Department, MCD, NDMC, Delhi Jal Board, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Education etc departments were present in this meeting. Children are more prone to dengue and fever, so the Directorate of Education and all MCD schools have been asked to increase strictness.
Children will help Delhi government
Children have been asked to wear full sleeve clothes so that mosquitoes do not bite. The Delhi government will also take the help of government school children to deal with dengue. School children will do their responsibility through dengue homework to spread awareness and not allow stagnant water to collect anywhere in their homes.
What did the health minister say in the directive?
In the instructions issued by the Health Minister, it was said that if the student does not have full sleeve school uniform, then he can be allowed to wear any clothes including full sleeve shirt, slacks. Apart from this, the MCD and the education department of Delhi government were directed that a card in the name of dengue homework would be given to the school students.
