Agartala, June 21: People from different parts of Tripura have joined Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme on Wednesday and interacted with Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha about various problems including medical cases.
Most of the people who joined the programme sought assistance for treatment. The Chief Minister patiently heard their problems and shortcomings and therefore directed the Secretaries and officials of concerned departments to take necessary initiatives accordingly.
Tom-tom driver and resident of East Pratapgarh, Prasenjit Saha joined the programme along with his wife and 2.5 years old son, Aryan to meet the Chief Minister. Aryan is suffering from multiple diseases since his birth.
He underwent quite a few treatments outside the state but his health condition did not improve. Learning about Aryan’s health condition, the Chief Minister directed the Secretary of Social Welfare & Social Education department to take necessary steps and provide aid from the department for Aryan’s treatment.
Bappi Deb of Sabroom also joined the programme to seek assistance for his mother Malti Deb’s treatment who is suffering from breast cancer. She is presently suffering from asthma and hand pain after her surgery. Bappi Deb used to work as a daily wage worker at Tripura State Co-operative Bank. He lost his job while getting his mother treated. He was the only breadwinner in his family of 8 members.
At present, due to financial crisis, Bappi Deb is facing trouble in terms of his mother’s treatment and raising his family. After learning about his situation, the Chief Minister directed the concerned official to take necessary action so that Bappi gets his job back and take necessary initiative for his mother’s treatment.
Kunal Saha of Jagharimura, Agartala joined the programme to seek assistance for treatment of his wife, Puja Debnath who is suffering from blood cancer. At present, she is undergoing treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. The Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to take necessary steps for Puja’s treatment. Rina Saha also joined the programme to seek assistance for treatment of her son suffering from a complex eye disease.
At present, due to her son being unable to work, Rina Saha has been facing difficulty to raise her family and get him treated. After learning about the problem, the Chief Minister directed concerned officials to take rapid and necessary step to solve the issue.
Apart from that, Ranu Namah Shudra of Kamalpur, Dhanu Debbarma of Lefunga, Supriya Roy of Bordowali, Karnajoy Reang of Salthang Manu and a daily wage worker of Banamalipur Narayan Bhowmik also met the Chief Minister to seek assistance for their own treatments. The Chief Minister directed concerned officials to take necessary steps accordingly.
Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of Health department Dr. Debashish Basu, Secretary of Home department Saradindu Choudhury, Secretary of SW&SE department Tapas Roy, Deputy Medical Superintendent of GBP Hospital Dr. Sankar Chakraborty, Medical Superintendent of Agartala Cancer Hospital Dr. Shiramani Debbarma and officials of other concerned departments were present during the weekly programme today.
