West Bengal Panchayat Election 2023: In view of the three-level panchayat elections to be held in West Bengal on July 8, the nomination papers are being scrutinised. Meanwhile, reports of violence are coming from the state. TMC and BJP workers clashed on Saturday (June 17). 

Meanwhile, the convoy of Union Minister of State for Home Nisith Pramanik was also allegedly attacked in Coochbehar district. Nisith was going towards the BDO office of Pramanik Sahebganj. Scrutiny of nomination papers was going on in BDO office.

The ruling Trinamool Congress has rejected the allegations of attack on Nisith Pramanik. According to news agency ANI, Union Minister of State Nisith Pramanik said, “There is anarchy in the state. An arrow hit our vehicle. Bombs are being thrown. Law and order is being violated. All this is happening in front of the police. We cannot go ahead (by barricading). TMC MLA is sitting in BDO office. How can an MLA sit there? Nomination papers should be scrutinized under the supervision of central forces.
