Agartala, Mar 27: Agartala city witnessed a saffron tsunami in support of BJP’s nominee to West Tripura Lok Sabha seat Biplab Kumar Deb, who filed the nomination on Wednesday.
Along with thousands of Karyakartas from BJP, IPFT and Tipra Motha, leaders including Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, former Haryana CM Manoharlal Khattar, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarma joined an impressive rally before Deb filed the nomination to Returning Officer Dr. Vishal Kumar.
The rally started from in front of Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan and traversed through various main roads in the city.
Later Deb along with other leaders addressed the gathering at Office Lane, where the support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi was clearly visible.
All the leaders in their speech referred to Ram Mandir and said that this time Narendra Modi would form the government with more than 400 NDA seats.
The Chief Minister noted that along with BJP flags, the party flags of TMP and IPFT were flying together and it was truly a significant scene for the state’s overall development.
Meanwhile, before going to file the nomination, Deb, a sitting BJP Rajya Sabha member from Tripura and former Chief Minister, took blessings of his mother.
The people in West Tripura parliamentary constituency will vote on April 19. While BJP is leaving no stone unturned to secure victory, the INDIA Bloc is also planning to achieve something big. This constituency is going to witness a thrilling poll battle though the ruling party is marching ahead in the poll campaigns.
