IMD scientist RK Jenamani told that the low pressure area over southeast Arabian Sea at South Porbandar in Gujarat is likely to move northwest.

He said that it will turn into a cyclonic storm by tonight and it is likely to intensify. RK Jenamani said that his team is monitoring it completely. He said that something can be said about the arrival of monsoon in Kerala within one to two days. On the other hand, an alert has also been issued regarding the heatwave for the coming few days.

How long will the heatwave last in which states?

According to the Meteorological Department, the heatwave is likely to continue in Bihar till June 10. Due to this, people will have to face a lot of problems. Jun 10 in Gangetic West Bengal, June 9 in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, June 7 to 10 in Uttar Pradesh, East Jharkhand, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, June 10 in Telangana Heat wave has been predicted till June 7 in Tamil Nadu. 

When will the monsoon start?

Earlier the monsoon was about to knock in Kerala on Sunday, but it did not start. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted a delay. The southwest monsoon usually hits Kerala on June 1 and can start seven days earlier or seven days later. In the month of May The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had said that monsoon may hit Kerala by June 4.
