He recalled the significant contributions of Dr. Mukherjee in safeguarding the integrity of the country.
“Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was one of the legendary figures in the history of India, and his role in protecting the integrity of the country was immense. Although he remained relatively unknown to many people until recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after assuming office in 2014, brought Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s work profile into the limelight,” he said.
In his inaugural address, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of the new generation being aware of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s contributions to the country’s integrity during times of political and economic crises.
He further added, “The new generation should be aware of his tireless fight against injustice throughout his life. His approach was to protest against injustice, and if that didn’t work, he advocated for retribution. Unfortunately, these aspects of Dr. Mukherjee’s life are not widely known by the new generation.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that the country should be given top priority because without a strong nation, individuals cease to exist.
“Under the leadership of the current Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, India has reached new heights on the global stage. The Chief Minister also highlighted the perpetual need for unity in building and protecting the country, a principle deeply ingrained in Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s ideology.
“If the country is not strengthened, neighboring states will repeatedly assert their dominance. In that regard, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is tirelessly working to bolster the country. A new India is now being established under his leadership,” he added.
