Teliamura Jun 23: Raising 9-point demands centering improvement of medical services, CPI-M Teliamura regional committee placed deputation to the Sub-Divisional Health Officer Chandan Debbarma on Friday.
CPIM Teliamura regional committee leader Subir Sen, Vijay Modak and other CPIM leaders remained present in the day’s delegation.
Inspite of adequate medical supplies in Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital, Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital fails to provide proper services to patients coming from far and wide places, alleged the CPI-M leaders.
Detailing the demands, the leaders said, “The Operation Theatre must be made functional at the earliest as it is not made into use despite having all essentials, introduction of Cabin service in the hospital, ambulance service from the hospital other than 102 ambulance service that is difficult to avail at times emergency and others”.
The delegation discussed the demands with the SDMO while mentioning immediate repair and operation of the damaged oxygen plant, appointment of paediatricians in the hospital, improving the beauty of the hospital by cleaning up the surroundings of the hospital premises.
Meanwhile, Sub-Divisional Health Officer Chandan Debbarma assured the delegation that these demands will be taken to the state government to take immediate action on the issues.
