Kalyanpur, June 16: A special team of the food department conducted a surprise inspection of 27 ration shops at Kalyanpur block on Wednesday morning.
Despite the inclement weather in the morning, the team consisting of food controller Teliamura, Shubhankar Chowdhury, Deputy Collector, Amit Roy Chowdhury, and several other officials inspected the availability of commodities, safe storage of the materials and also the proper maintenance of record books thoroughly checked.
The team took a public review of the ration shop and there they received several complaints about the commodities not being availed at the time.
The dealers of the ration shop were briefed about the issue and the team ensured that no such delays will be witnessed in the future.
