Attack On Chandra Shekhar Azad: Action of UP Police is going on in the case of attack on Bhim Army Chief Chandra Shekhar Azad. In this case, the police have so far detained four people. Along with this, the Saharanpur police has also recovered the car used in the attack. On Wednesday (June 28), firing was done on the Bhim Army Chief in Deoband, Saharanpur, in which he was shot. Story from the attack till now

  • Founder of Bhim Army and Azad Samaj Party chief Chandrashekhar Azad was going with four companions in his Toyota car on Wednesday when his car was fired upon in Deoband, Saharanpur. 
  • Chandrashekhar was shot near his waist in the firing. It’s on. He has been admitted to a hospital in Saharanpur, where he is undergoing treatment. Chandrashekhar’s brother is also with him at the time of the attack.
  • Saharanpur SSP Vipin Tada said that some car-borne armed men opened fire on Chandrashekhar Azad’s convoy. A bullet came out touching him from close range. Police is probing the matter.
  • According to ANI news, a case under sections of  307, 506, 120-B and SC-ST Act has been registered at Deoband police station in connection with the attack on Chandrashekhar Azad on Wednesday. An FIR has been registered.
  • One bullet pierced the seat of the car as well. The rear window of the car was also shattered in the attack. 
  • The armed assailants came in a white Maruti Swift DZire car with Haryana number plates. The assailants fired several rounds at Chandrasekhar’s vehicle from behind.
  • In conversation with ANI, Chandrasekhar told that he could not identify the assailants properly but those who were with him have identified them. The car of the assailants went towards Saharanpur.
  • According to PTI news, Azad was attacked when he was on his way to Delhi. He had gone to a supporter’s house to attend the thirteenth rites.
  • After the attack, Chandrasekhar said, I did not expect such a sudden attack. I would like to appeal to my friends, supporters and workers across the country to maintain peace. We will continue our fight constitutionally. I am fine with the love and blessings of crores of people.
